Blackout Baby Boom

T-shirts & Baby Wear

What's a blackout baby boom? Well, so the story goes, when there is a major power outage, you end up with a lot of couples at home, in the dark, there's no TV, candlelight sheds it's warm glow, and romance takes it's course. Nine months later, there's a profusion of babies born... these couples are giving birth to blackout babies ;)

Is it true? Oh, I don't know, people say that it's just an urban legend, but there are a lot of unexpected parents with a due date in May who say otherwise! It's a romantic idea anyway!

Inspired by this though, I came up with a couple fun designs...

PS... remember, be very careful with candles during blackouts!

On a serious note, My little picture shows a candle, but for safety reasons, battery lights & flashlights are much preferable to candles. Candles can cause a fire hazard, especially if you have children or toddlers or pets who don't know how to be carful. A candle can easily be knocked over with tragic results.

If you do use candles, follow the candle safety instructions that came with it. Be VERY careful of fire. Keep them away from anything flammable, and do not leave one burning unattended or fall asleep while its burning! It's really better to keep a good flashlight or battery lantern (and lots of good quality bateries!) on hand.
